1. SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of the works was generally outlined in the contract agreement and aimed to identify the nature and types of material and their properties noting their depth and condition to enable the geotechnical assessment of subsurface soils and their bearing capacity.
The following investigation works were carried out:
· Setting out of borehole positions based on borehole layout drawing and available items on the working-site;
· Boring;
· Sampling;
· Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) including collection of disturbed soil samples;
· In-situ downhole seismic test;
· In-situ soil resistivity test;
· In-situ thermal Resistivity test;
· Sampling and testing in Trial Pit;
· A series of laboratory tests and analysis were also carried out on soil sample
(undisturbed, disturbed samples) and water sample.
